Sally Jo and the Gators: Music
Fritzy Flyby
Her plane buzzes down, sweeps over the town,
Down drifts a sweet, soulful sound,
Dazzling bits of bebop dropping
Down from the sky,
Fritzy laughs and swings her sax,
A Fritzy Flyby.
She shivers and shakes;
She quivers and quakes,
Out the plan door come her legs,
Rockin’, honkin’, syncopating, punctuating,
Fritzy leaps up onto the wing.
Balanced on the bouncing biplane,
Fritzy flies high. Fancy fanfares on the wing,
She swings through the sky.
She unfurls a streamer advertising her guys,
But Fritzy’s guys are all girls,
Red lips, big eyes, curls and swirls.
The boys are away; the girls come to play,
Fritzy’s aloft on that plane. Fritzy slips
But grips the streamer as she twirls by,
A bebopping Fritzy Flyby.
